Eric is a serial entrepreneur. He is currently the CEO of Fumé, a vertically integrated cannabis company based in Napa, CA which he founded in 2017. He is also President of the California Fish & Game Commission having been appointed by Governor Brown in 2015 and confirmed by the Senate in 2016. Among the companies he previously founded are Burrito Brothers in Washington DC and Alpha Omega Winery in Rutherford, CA.
He has degrees from UC Berkeley, The London School of Economics and Georgetown University, where he also taught classes on entrepreneurship.
He is a sailor, scuba diver, chef and swimmer. He and his wife, Erica, live in St. Helena and have two adult daughters.
