Dan is best known for turning Pimsleur into one of the most recognized language learning brands in the United States. He did that with his first company, Stroll, which he started in college and ran for 15 years. For 10 years, Stroll had a compounded annual growth rate in excess of 70% and made the Inc. 5000 list seven years in a row. By 2012, Dan grew the company to a professionally managed organization with about $100 million in revenue and 200 employees.
In 2012, Dan was named Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year in Philadelphia. He’s also been recognized as a ‘40 Under 40’ by both Direct Marketing News and the Philadelphia Business Journal. Dan is an active member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO).
Today, Dan is CEO of Growth Harmony, a company he started this year with many of his former management team members. Growth Harmony uses a pay- for-results model to help 8- and 9-figure direct marketing companies scale up and overcome challenges in marketing, management, operations, analytics, technology and finance. In the near future, they also plan to launch an intensive, all-hands mastermind limited to 8 non-competing direct marketing CEOs. Growth Harmony has over 20 of the world’s best direct marketers as investors in order to maintain its edge in producing results.
