Alex Andelman

Alex graduated from the University of Arkansas with BSIE in 2003 and MSIE in 2005.
He started working at Boeing Integrated Defense Systems in St Louis, MO after
graduation as a Labor and Material estimator for upgrades to F/A-18 and F-15
airframes. This involved working with multiple groups to understand the implications the
upgrades made to the airframes to capture the full cost of the upgrades.

Then, Alex worked for a consultant firm that contracted with the Dept of Energy working on
risk analytics for legacy nuclear remediation projects. He would work with project owners
to understand the various risks that could impact the successful completion to create
cost and schedule contingencies.

After that, Alex moved back to Northwest Arkansas and began working with Walmart in various
functions, including store operations, logistics and transportation, emergency
operations, supply chain security and international compliance.
He then moved to JB Hunt to become the DCS regional engineer for the Midwest region,
which he has been at for the past 1.5 years. This position allowed Alex to better
understand JB Hunt operations and business processes. Next, he moved to be a
strategic accounts director in Final Mile Services, focusing on Whirlpool.

Outside of work Alex is a husband, father of two girls, an active ultralight backpacker, and
loves to be in the mountains for any given reason. He loves to play (guitar bass) and listen to
live music. He also grew up a lake-baby, so he looks for any excuse to play on
lakes/rivers/oceans. Alex is a lifelong Razorbacks fan for all sports and a lifelong Denver
Broncos fan, so he’s clearly a glutton for punishment.
