Dale Schober
Dale, is originally from the beautiful bayside suburbs of Melbourne, Australia, but has spent the last eight years calling the stunning Banff, Canada, his home. His entrepreneurial journey began in his late teens and early twenties as the lead singer and manager of a rock ‘n’ roll band. For almost a decade, the band toured AUS/NZ and Europe, where Dale learned to manage the band like a business, with a dream of using music as a vessel to explore the world through gigs.
While juggling his music career, Dale studied Outdoor Recreation & Teaching, covering the bills that music couldn’t by doing freelance outdoor education work and running other people’s tour and activity businesses. When the rock ‘n’ roll dream came to an end, Dale seized an opportunity to relocate back to the Canadian Rockies to work in adventure tourism in 2017.
After securing Canadian permanent residency in January 2020, he founded Radventures, an adventure tour and activity company to share his love for the Rockies with others. He bootstrapped the company through the pandemic in his trusty Chevy Express passenger van with 400,000 miles on the odometer. After flying solo between 2020 and 2022, with the return of tourists to the Rockies, Dale began scaling and growing the company. As of today, Radventures boasts a team of 25 and runs a dozen tours a day during the peak summer months.
